Cancer Treatment Centers of America, with Other Contributors, Take a Swing For Second Chances at Life Honoring Organ Transplant Recipient Chris Piazzi

Chris Piazzi is the Chair of the College of Lake County Foundation, President of the Mundelein Community Bank, and now a recipient of a dual kidney and liver transplant. A rare liver disease plagued Piazzi and after tests were done, he was told only a dual transplant would save is life.

Piazzi states while the education the College of Lake County Foundation gives is important, so is the knowledge given to him that life is fragile and how blessed he is due to the kindness of another.

The CLC determined that the 2017 Scholarship Golf Classic should honor Piazzi and what he has given to the foundation. In the 2015-2016 academic year the CLC improved the lives and education of 386 students by granting them more than $900,000 to better their futures with education. The tournament takes place June 12th, with the event beginning with a shot-gun start and 18-hole scramble and ending in cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and an awards event. This event is sponsored by the Cancer Treatment Centers of America, R.J. Galla Insurance Company, Legat Architects and several other contributors. The event will take place at the Ivanhoe Golf Club in Mundelein, Illinois.
